Diana Burgess
About our Worship Leader
Diana Burgess is a woman in love with the Lord. She began her nursing career with an Associates of Science degree in 1982, and worked in Intensive Care for ten years. During this span, she completed her certification in Critical Care Nursing and went on to become chief flight nurse, transporting all types of patients battling various medical conditions. Her world turned upside down when she miraculously survived a deadly plane crash in 2002. She endured many surgeries, fought countless complications, spent six weeks in the hospital, and worked hard at rehabilitation for two years. She came out walking and returned to teaching aerobics.
Diana's personal faith was tested and it grew as she watched Jesus provide for ever need in ways she could never have guessed. He put a new song in her heart. She is currently working on her masters degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida, and is an adjunct clinical instructor at St. Petersburg College of Nursing. She is the proud wife of Ed for now thirty years, mother of two and grandmother as well.
